Job Summary

Perform various analyses, design, and/or assembly related manufacturing or industrial engineering projects. Design and/or assemble mechanical or electrical-mechanical units. Perform operational or methods analyses related to labor standards and review product/project flow data, equipment, and labor requirements for use in conducting manufacturing operations. Assist in the evaluation of engineering changes and/or other specifications requirements and perform as technical liaison with other engineering personnel in Design for Manufacturability. Develop and monitor work standards and audit work measurement programs. Lean/Six Sigma background preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluates, creates and improves manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.

Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.

Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

 Required Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering or equivalent experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands on floor support for circuit card, complex harness and/or thermal blanket fabrication lines with applied Lean/Six Sigma methods. Proficient in MS Word, Pro-cable, Blue print or CAD. Experience with Deltek Costpoint, TipQA, Microsoft      Office suite including Microsoft Access, LabView experiences a plus.
