Sr. Program Manager

Orbital ATK is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager to provide leadership to our Missile Products Division team in our Plymouth, MN offices.
Orbital ATK has a challenging opportunity for a Senior Program Manager in the Fuzing and Integrated Ordnance business area, within its Tactical Propulsion and Ordnance (TPO) group, located in Plymouth, MN. This Division of ATK specializes in the development of Fuzes, Sensors, Warheads, and Integrated Ordnance products. The Program Manager will manage Integrated Fuze/Ordnance programs with responsibility for cost, schedule and technical performance. The Program Manager will represent ATK in the customer community and lead the program team. The Program Manager will direct functional organizations to achieve program objectives while managing risks and opportunities. The Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing proposal preparation and contractual activates. The Program Manager will promote a focus on safety and employ Lean/Six Sigma tools through program planning and execution.
Role description & Responsibilities:
- Lead new business pursuits
- Author proposals and white papers to win new business
- Manage program risk and opportunities
- Implement appropriate risk mitigation activities
- Interface with internal and external customers on all program aspects
- Direct technical development
- Maintain schedule
- Control finances
- Lead business development activities
- Establish program team staffing
- Manage suppliers
- Development of and transition to production, and delivery of quality products on time and within cost.
- BS in Engineering. Aero, Math, or Physics
- PMI Certification
- 10 years of DOD weapons design/development experience
- 10 years of program management
- FAR/DFAR, DOD-5000, CMMI, ISO, ITAR experience
- Demonstrated team leadership skills.
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
