Perform structural analysis and test of structural designs, structural components, and functional systems for spacecraft and missile systems. Analyze requirements for materials including composites, structural component, or functional systems, including mechanisms. Select applicable analytical data from previous products, determine the technical principles involved, mathematically define the problem and compute the engineering characteristics consistent with the specifications, design needs and requirements of other portions of the product. Release results as design note or report.

Develop original ideas and elaborate on preliminary design concepts. Evaluate completed design with customer and other technical groups and make modifications necessary to achieve the most ideal design. Develop and coordinate the conduct of test programs required to evaluate design work.


  • A BS/BA in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or equivalent experience is required.
  • Structures design and analysis coursework, analytical software experience.
  • 6 or more years of related experience required
  • Candidate should possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidate must have basic problem solving skills and computer skills with standard word processing/spreadsheet experience
  • Candidate should be able to listen effectively, take direction, and possess initiative to accomplish assigned tasks and complete work in a timely fashion
  • Tools: NASTRAN, FEMAP, ANSYS, NX CAD and Teamcenter, Solidworks.
  • Experience with NX Advanced Simulation or Solidworks Simulation a plus
