Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Program Scheduler located at the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory near Cumberland, MD.
The Program Scheduler will create and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS’s) and summary schedules for tactical propulsion development programs, proposals, and marketing activities. This position will participate in integrated product teams (IPTs) and provide scheduling advice, recommendations, updates, and re-baselining as required for manufacturing operations. The candidate will also support program execution by generating and implementing work instructions and interfacing with plant scheduling and operations groups to negotiate schedules and ensure that critical manufacturing milestones are achieved. This position will also support the preparation of work proposals and high quality program briefings to internal and external customers. The program scheduler will work under the guidance of one or more program managers.
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS’s) for tactical propulsion development programs.
- Engage with plant operations and functional support groups to regularly assess performance against schedule.
- Identify and communicate deviations from schedule which may impact the organization’s ability to meet performance or delivery objectives.
- Consolidate and regularly report production development programs manufacturing resource requirements to assist plant operations with work planning and forecasting.
- Generate summary schedules for proposals, marketing briefings, and Requests for Information (RFI’s).
Must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint. Experience with OnePager or similar schedule presentation software is highly desired. Ability to break down complex projects into smaller tasks and estimate lead times and durations of each task is required. Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate must be eligible to obtain a DoD security clearance.
