Sr. Principal Design Technician

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
The Mechanical Design Checker will be responsible for checking drawings and models on all programs within NGIS. Experience working DOD programs preferred. Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 required. Also, have the ability to use Pro-E Creo to perform model checks. The candidate will also perform dimensional and tolerance stack-up analyses. Another responsibility will be to write company processes and checklists to ensure uniformity of drawing quality across all programs.
Education, Experience and Desired Tools
- Associate degree or certificate in drafting
- 10 - 20 years of experience in drafting, design and checking
- PRO-E Creo preferred
- Intralink / TcUA preferred
- Microsoft Office (experienced user)
