Propulsion Systems is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Associate to join our Promontory S&MA (Safety and Missions Assurance) team.

Job functions:

Successful candidate will work independently to perform a wide range of quality inspection tasks. Routinely coordinates and interfaces with a technical team, customers and/or Government Representatives Perform visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections using  standard measurement instruments on tight tolerance materials, components, subassemblies and final assemblies in the production and testing areas

  • Performs required inspections in accordance with blueprints, specifications, standard work and planning requirements
  • Documentation of non-conformances on materials, components or processes.
  • Shift work will be required as needed to support processing.

Skills and Experience

  • 4 years related industry experience
  • Technical strengths in manufacturing and inspection processes;
  • Knowledge and use of inspection and testing instruments
  • Verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft office and comfort navigating other applications critical to the position
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand standard work, blueprints, specifications and planning
  • Demonstrated hands on experience working in a highly technical aerospace/manufacturing environment, including work with mechanical, chemical and electrical components.
  • Demonstrated experience with common aerospace quality systems such as non-conformances, cause/corrective actions, configuration management, etc.

Education:

Requires High School Diploma or GED; higher level education preferred, i.e. Associates Degree / Bachelor’s Degree in related field. 

Position may be filled at one level lower with 2 years related experience.
