Orbital ATK Defense Electronic Systems is a division of Defense Group. Our facility in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Program Management Representative.

This is a Program Management Representative position working closely with the Program Director on a high-profile quick reaction program requiring strong business management skills to take initiative, lead, communicate and bring incredible attention to detail, organization, and process. This is a perfect role for someone who is process-driven, who enjoys solving problems through cross functional teams and is driven to program execution excellence. The Program Management Representative will work with cross functional teams (Program Management, Finance, Contracts, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Cost, Schedule and physical progress on an Aircraft Modification Program
  • Assist the Program Director in meeting all program goals
  • Monitor and manage a multi-million dollar budget over multiple years
  • Support Program Director with managing program cadence and provide day to day leadership to program staff
  • Lead team to creatively meet or exceed the goals of the program
  • Coordinate effectively with team members (including customer, suppliers, DCMA and DCAA)
  • Be a positive role model and voice of the program, effectively communicating with stakeholders interested in the success of the program
  • Communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders, including members of internal and external senior leadership
  • Define and document cross-team processes and timelines
  • Evaluate current cross-team processes and propose solutions for increasing effectiveness
  • Manage schedule for cross-team deliverables and ensure deliverables  (CDRLs) are met by contractual due dates
  • Work closely with Finance to develop weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, including customer reporting, PMRs, EACs as well as input to monthly Ops Report for senior leadership
  • Lead and support team in developing proposals and delegations for senior leadership review/approval
  • Support proposal negotiations
  • Facilitate Risk Management Process
  • Report Program Health Metrics
  • Identify/communicate and monitor necessary content for Program Dashboards

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain or technically related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in aviation related field, preferably in a military environment (US Government Contracts)Process-minded with the ability to break down processes between multiple teams
  • Concise and data-driven written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to work in environment with competing priorities
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
