Job Summary

Continues developing a broad range of laboratory skill while taking on more responsibilities. Performs tasks with less supervision required. Supports standard efforts of a scientific team with increased contribution towards method improvements and data processing. Maintains detailed daily laboratory checklists and material requirement lists. Applies acquired job skills to complete assigned tasks.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Support product in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  2. Prepare sample specimens for various lab testing.
  3. Perform analysis on samples using analytical lab equipment.
  4. Assist in maintaining equipment and contribute to a clean and safe operating area.
  5. Document work in a lab notebook or manufacturing record.
  6. Support and participate in various laboratory tasks as required.

Job Requirements

  1. Generally requires HS Diploma or equivalent plus 2 years or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  2. Must be able to work with minimum supervision, perform shift work and use standard measuring equipment.
  3. Read and understand manufacturing procedures.
  4. Able and willing to handle explosive materials and explosive liquids on a daily basis.
  5. Ability to receive and follow specific instructions from procedures, engineers, and supervision.
  6. Experience with chemicals and chemical processes (especially energetic) are beneficial.
  7. Able to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite.
