Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

Sr. Assembler (Ground Support Equipment)

Using documented work instructions and engineering drawings, perform a variety of  electro/mechanical assembly operations on moderate to complex assemblies and sub-assemblies used in the Aerospace industry. Assembler will perform connector population, wire/cable routing, component installation, and mechanical assembly of chassis, racks, test sets, and other electrical-mechanical boxes. Identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and propose solutions.  Frequently requires lifting up to 20lbs, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling, grasping, and climbing.

Required experience and Education:

Knowledge of ESD, FOD, and tool Control

Proficient in the use of hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, cordless drill, and rotary tools.

Understand and interpret engineering drawings, written instructions, parts lists, and schematics.

J-STD-001 Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies

IPC/WHMA-A-620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies

Preferred experience

Familiar with potting and staking compounds

IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies

High School diploma with minimum 4 (four) experience or equivalent.
