Orbital ATK is currently seeking an experienced Logistician in our Chandler, AZ office.
Detail oriented person with technical background needed as addition to Field and Production support staff for the GQM-163A program. Candidate must be able to travel to Field sites in support of Field inventories and launch operations preparation and close-out activities, traveling at a rate equivalent to one week per month. Duties include maintaining inventory data between trips, replenishing materials and supplies following launch operations, ordering and issuing replenishment supplies after launch operations, tracking equipment through calibrations and certifications, supporting material moves for Production, packing, unpacking equipment, and logging status of returned hardware. Perform logistics related maintenance tasks such as data base entries, Government property use evaluation, cross-reference Spares requirements to GP and Field inventories, monitor Field consumables requirements, update operational spares lists. A working knowledge of drawing systems and quality processes is required.
Participate in inventory trips as part of a small, independent Field team. Prepare supporting data prior to travel, inventory on-site, and update post-inventory data.
Identify shortages from periodic and post-op inventories. Use Drawing system to identify required BOM materials, check availability or source information, and begin the procurement process by PPA or other acceptable material demand process. Track receipts vs orders and issue material to bay and to Field sites as required.
Identify additional materials or equipment required at operational sites to improve process flow. Expedite hardware for Production and Field Operations.
Support Gov Property organization by locating and inventorying equipment. Prepare GP movement forms and GP entry forms.
Update Flight Hardware database entries for target configurations, flight hardware moves, and expenditures
Participate in Lean Initiatives. Identify and implement process improvements.
Must have a B.S. degree or equivalent with a minimum of (2) years experience in a materials handling or production support role. Candidate must have experience with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Candidate must have experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system.
Travel appoximately 10-25% of assignment.
Must pass physical for Field Support (Ordnance Intermediate Training required for work on and around Ordnance)
