Sr. Security Hardening Specialist

Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Northrop Grumman Innovations Systems is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Security Hardening Specialist to join our Integration and Test team in our Huntsville, AL office and at our Redstone Arsenal facility.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
The Sr. Security Hardening Specialist will lead local efforts (at Huntsville and Redstone Arsenal) to implement new security hardening initiatives required by the Intermediate Range and Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (IRBM/ICBM) program. This effort will include coordinating hardware and software upgrades with vendors and customers, including but not limited to new encryption, password protection, and other user account control upgrades. Will also be responsible for other local Information Services support tasks as required.
- Candidate must have a minimum of five years of related experience.
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- An active security clearance is required.
- Ability to travel : Travel expectation 0%-25%
- CompTIA Security+
- CISSP, and CompTIA Linux+ certifications a plus.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Requires excellent communication skills and ability to work with local and remote sites (including management).
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT is required.
- Security specialization and/or certifications a plus
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
