Job Summary

Successful candidate will work with a team of engineers to support cable harness design activities for the OmegA program.  Successful candidate will utilize Northrop Grumman’s in-house developed Cable Design Tool to design cable assemblies for the OmegA launch vehicle and electrical ground support equipment.  Candidate may also support various technical analyses, processing engineering design changes and work with other disciplines as needed, through the design, build and test process. Other duties as required. Good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate with engineers and other disciplines is required. Documentation skills and experience using Visio and other common desktop applications are required. 

 Job Responsibilities

  1. Job Knowledge/Technical Skills - Introductory Understanding and application of company electrical engineering technical standards.

    Technical expertise to complete assigned electrical engineering tasks.

    Attends and prepares under close supervision materials to support electrical engineers during Requirements and Design Reviews.

  2. Problem Solving/Innovation - With supervision, applies theoretical knowledge and engineering technical principles to solve basic electrical engineering problems.

  3. Liaison - Interacts well with other staff/team members, effective at relationships with peers and manager.

    Responds in a timely manner to all requests.

  4. Requirements Derivation/ Test Development - Establish requirements and procedures to evaluate purchased equipment or EEE parts. Under supervision, supports the testing and/or evaluation/ validation of one or more elements of an electrical component, subsystem, or system analytical model or actual system implementation.
  5. Analysis and Design - Under relatively close direction, performs a variety of specific engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature.
