Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.


-Support production in a 24/7 manufacturing environment

-Prepare ingredients for manufacturing propellants and explosives of various mix sizes

-Assist in energetic development operations for warheads, munitions, and rocket motors

-Assist in maintaining equipment and contribute to a clean and safe operating area

-Handle explosive materials and liquid explosives on a daily basis (will be required)

-Prepare chemical solutions used in production operations following established procedures

-Document work in notebook or manufacturing record

-Support and participate in various laboratory tasks as required


-Two year college degree or equivalent experience

-Must be able to work with minimum supervision, perform shift work and use standard measuring equipment

-Read and understand manufacturing procedures

-Able and willing to handle explosive materials and explosive liquids on a daily basis

-Ability to receive and follow specific instructions from procedures, engineers, and supervision

-Experience using scientific instrumentation and equipment

-Experience with chemicals and  chemical processes (especially energetic) is beneficial

-US Citizen with the ability to obtain a clearance

-Ability to work independently with little supervision
