Job Summary

Based on specific objectives, contribute to the development, creation, and modification of computer applications software. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Provides technical leadership to junior members of a development/test team.

A software/computer/electrical engineer, motivated to learn and excel in an avionics embedded software development environment, is needed for immediate support of the CRS and MEV programs. The ideal candidate will have C/C++ programming expertise, be knowledgeable of real-time operating systems and comfortable writing software and debugging it in an avionics integration and test environment. Excellent writing and reading skills are required as the candidate will be involved in the entire software development, test and operations lifecycle. Candidates will participate in software requirements analysis and specification, test planning and execution from unit to system level, software qualification test development and test reports preparation as a team member developing software for both existing and in-development spacecraft programs.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Participate in software requirements analysis and review, design, implementation, integration, test and verification of software for spacecraft avionics subsystems.
  2. Make frequent contact with internal and external customers and technical stakeholders concerning design, development, operation and maintenance of software. Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters.
  3. Act as an embedded software technical lead for pre-proposal, proposal and existing program efforts. Represent the company as a customer contact on contracts or projects.


Education and Experience

Requires BS in Engineering & 7 years or Masters in Engineering & 5 years or PhD & 2 years.
