Job Summary

Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of flight dynamics principles, to include orbit determination, maneuver planning, and rendezvous and proximity operations for geosynchronous satellites.  Creates standard products such as eclipse predictions, sun angle predictions, and nodal crossings.  Maintains an accounting of fuel used / fuel remaining.  Supports real-time satellite operations team to quickly respond to tasking requests from the customer to create new or modify existing mission & maneuver plans.  Must be able to work with minimal direction, and have the ability to effectively brief operational plan/status to upper management and customers.  Initiates and leads efforts to build in-house tools to improve efficiency. 


  • Current TS/SCI clearance is required
  • Requires BS & 7 years Masters’ Degree & 5 years or PhD & 2 years or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Previous experience supporting real-time satellite operations is required
  • Working knowledge of Red Hat and Windows operating systems
  • Previous experience performing orbit determination, maneuver planning, contact planning required.
  • Previous experience with rendezvous and proximity operations desired, but not required
